FAQs

What are Traineeships?

The words 'Trainee' and 'Apprentice' and 'Traineeship' and 'Apprenticeship' are largely interchangeable.  A 'Trainee' is someone undertaking training to achieve a Nationally Recognised Qualification while they work either part time or full time in that sector or industry.  The same can be said for an 'Apprentice' however they tend to be more in a trade such as 'Apprentice Carpenter' or 'Apprentice Hairdresser'.

At the beginning of the Traineeship, the Trainee and Employer sign a training contract that is registered with the Department of Education, Training & The Arts (in Queensland at least).  There are certain roles and responsibilities both the Trainee and Employer agree to uphold by signing this training contract including the Trainee observing the employer's instructions, actively participating in the training, and maintaining the confidentiality of information.

Our objective is to ensure a positive and mutually beneficial outcome for both the Employer and the Trainee.

By offering high quality, flexible training and support throughout the term of the traineeship, in addition to regular on-site visits to monitor the trainee's progress, we have seen great results for many Employers and Trainees.

We have achieved outstanding successes with many employers who have embedded Traineeships into their workplace to help achieve their organisational goals.  A number of our clients use Traineeships when bringing in new staff and assisting with recruitment strategies.
