Brisbane is the state capital of Queensland and its most populous city. It is also the third most populous city in Australia, behind southern rivals Sydney and Melbourne. The city is situated on the Brisbane River on a low-lying floodplain between Moreton Bay and the Great Dividing Range in south-eastern Queensland.

Brisbane is one of the major business hubs in Australia. Most major Australian companies, as well as numerous international companies, have contact offices in Brisbane, while numerous electronics businesses have distribution hubs in and around the city. DHL Global's Oceanic distribution warehouse is located in Brisbane, as is Asia Pacific Aerospace's headquarters. Home grown major companies include Suncorp-Metway Limited, Flight Centre, Sunsuper, Orrcon, Credit Union Australia, Donut King, Wotif.com, WebCentral, PIPE Networks, Krome Studios, Mincom Limited and Virgin Blue.

Caboolture is a suburb approximately 50 km north of Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland, Australia. Caboolture is considered to be the northernmost urban area of the greater Brisbane metropolitan region within South East Queensland, as it marks the end of the Brisbane suburban commuter railway service along the North Coast railway line. Formerly a small dairy town, the location of Caboolture on the corridor between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast resulted in an influx of residents in the 1970s and 1980s which continues today.

Strathpine is a suburb north of Brisbane with a busy business district accomodating many of Brisbane’s northern businesses.

Cairns is located about 1,701 km  from Brisbane, and about 2,420 km from Sydney by road. Cairns is rapidly expanding, with a population of over 130,000. Tourism is the largest income producer for the region, followed closely by the sugar industry.

It is a popular travel destination for foreign tourists because of its tropical climate and proximity to many attractions. The Great Barrier Reef can be reached in less than an hour by boat. The Daintree National Park and Cape Tribulation, about 130 km north of Cairns, are popular areas for experiencing a tropical rainforest. It is also a starting point for people wanting to explore Cooktown, Cape York Peninsula, and the Atherton Tableland.

The city has used its natural surroundings to its advantage with the construction of several small theme parks for tourists. Among them are Rainforestation Nature Park, the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, and the Kuranda Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, which extends for 7.5 km over World Heritage rainforest.

The Gold Coast is a city in the southeast corner of Queensland and colloquially the region is considered to extend down into New South Wales and the Tweed region. It is the second most populous city in the state and the sixth most populous city in the country. It is also the most populous non-capital city in the country. Gold Coast City is renowned for its sunny subtropical climate, popular surfing beaches, expansive waterway and canal systems, a skyline dominated by high-rise apartment buildings, a peaceful rainforest hinterland in the west of the city, active nightlife and its wide variety of tourist attractions.

Around 10 million tourists visit the Gold Coast every year, comprising c. 850,000 international visitors, 3,500,000 domestic overnight visitors and 5,400,000 daytrip visitors.

Tourism is the region’s biggest industry, directly contributing more than $4.4 billion into the city economy every year and directly accounting for one in four jobs in the city.

There are approximately 65,000 bed spaces, 60 kilometres of beach, 600 kilometres of canal, 100,000 hectares of nature reserve, 500 restaurants, 40 golf courses and 6 major theme parks in the city.

Ipswich, and specifically the City of Ipswich, has a population of 140,181 and is situated in South East Queensland, covering an area of 65.7 square kilometres.

About an hour’s drive west of Brisbane, Ipswich is a fast growing population base with strong support for current and future development from the State Government’s planning laws.  Many residents commute to work in Brisbane, although many of course work locally.

Logan City Council is a Local Government Area in South East Queensland, Australia. The city borders the City of Brisbane to the north and Gold Coast to the south. In terms of population, Logan City is the third largest city in Queensland. The city also borders the Scenic Rim and Redland City.

Logan City has recently been under development for new bistro areas across the region. Cinemas, shopping complexes and parks are prevalent. Logan City has one public art gallery. The internationally successful Australian band Savage Garden, who sold 25 million albums, are from Logan.

Logan City is home to Souths Logan Magpies rugby league team, one of the oldest existing rugby league clubs in Australia. Beenleigh and adjoining suburbs are located near the confluence of the Logan and Albert rivers. QR Citytrain provides frequent services to Brisbane and the Gold Coast at Beenleigh railway station.
