Productivity Places Program

I have successfully completed all units towards Cer 111 Aged Care through PPP 5 months ago but due to family reasons at the time was unable to complete my 100 hours prac. Is there any way I would be able to complete this now and gain my Cert 111?
What is the Productivity Places Program?

The federal Government introduced the Productivity Places Program in an effort to train job seekers to better prepare them for the skills Australian employers are looking for. Essentially, funds are made available to registered job seekers to increase their skills and knowledge across a wide selection of sectors and industries from Aged Care, Business, Health, Hospitality, Children’s Services to Tourism and other sectors.

Will the course be paid for?

To be eligible for Productivity Places Program funding you need to be:

  • a job seeker registered with an Employment Service Provider (ESP)
  • over 15 years of age
  • an Australian or New Zealand Citizen living in Australia

If you do not meet the above criteria, other funding may be available. Please contact us to see if we can assist in accessing other funding options to match your circumstances.

Once you sign up as a prospective student of Jigsaw Training Academy, we will manage the funding application process and notify you and your Employment Service Provider of the outcome. The majority of applicants put forward by Jigsaw Training Academy are accepted. However, because of the way the funding is allocated, not every applicant is guaranteed success. Although funding is a national arrangement, each state/territory is responsible for the management of the funding in their areas.

What costs are involved?

The Federal Government funds the Productivity Places Program though criteria do apply. Each state is responsible for administering funding.

If the participant is not eligible for Government funding the participant can pay for the course outright.
